What the heck is a "tripole?" Well, take a look at the LSA OW on-wall speakers. The trapezoidal shape allows us to place 3 tweeters in the cabinet. Two center mounted switches allow the listener to choose monopole (front tweeter), bipole (2 side tweeters in phase), or dipole (2 side tweeters out of phase).
Thus, depending on your seating position and the speakers' positions, you can choose a very directional (monopole), somewhat diffuse (bipole), or very diffuse (dipole) dispersion pattern. All the while you retain LSA's signature organic, involving sound, with the same driver units as the LSA1. The result is a timbre matched, unified soundfield that has to be heard to be fully appreciated. This is indeed a surround speaker like no other.
